  • Isager Tvinni

    Isager Isager Tvinni

    Shipped within 1 business day

ISAGER TVINNI was developed by Marianne Isager together with the Danish spinning mill, ”Skive Uldspinderi”. It consists of the finest merino quality, virgin wool, which is first cut lambswool. The long and fine fibres make a very durable quality. We describe this as our finest yarn, which wears out beautifully. A sweater knitted in Tvinni has a long life if treated with care. As this is a two ply yarn it is suitable for knitting stocking stitch in the round and due to its lightness, it can be used in various combinations, alone or together with other qualities, in e.g. Fair Isle and Norwegian knitting. • Tukuwool Fingering

    Tukuwool Tukuwool Fingering

    Shipped within 1 business day

Your long-awaited Tukuwool Fingering is finally here! We gently renewed the yarn base for smoother quality and softer handfeel. In August 2023, we welcomed a brand new era of knitting with the launch of Tukuwool Fingering, a renewed Finnish wool yarn. This yarn has undergone a transformation that has left us truly excited, and we couldn’t wait to share it with you!The most notable changes are new labels and the skein size, now coming in a generous 100 grams per skein, double the previous size. Alongside this, we made a slight adjustment to the meterage, now 370 meters per 100 gram. These changes weren’t just for aesthetics; they were about efficiency and sustainability. We wanted to create a yarn that not only looks and feels great but is also produced with minimal waste. The result? A yarn that is not only more sustainable but also boasts a consistent quality and a texture that feels natural yet softer than before. Now, you might be wondering if these changes will affect your knitting projects. The answer is a reassuring “no.” The shift in meterage subtly influences the gauge for Tukuwool Fingering, but it’s so slight that your trusty old knitting patterns will work seamlessly with the updated yarn. But that’s not all! We’ve also taken the opportunity to breathe new life into Tukuwool Fingering color palette. Alongside the beloved classics, we’ve introduced a few trendy, fresh shades that are sure to inspire your creativity.100 % Finnish Wool50g = 185m/202yds

  • Isager Hoer Organic

    Isager Isager Hoer Organic

    Shipped within 1 business day

Isager Hoer Organic ISAGER HØR ORGANIC is a 100% linen yarn that is perfect for warmer weather.  A favorite yarn for summer garments in Denmark, it can be used individually with two or more strands held together, or it can be knitted with other Isager yarns. However, do not knit in the rounds as the garment will skew. When working a knitting technique with this yarn, e.g. a structure pattern or a jacquard pattern in a two or more colored pattern, it can be knitted in the round. The colour range has 6 colours which blends perfectly into our shade card – and the colour combinations with other Isager yarns are endless. The yarn consists of 100% organic fibres but the dyes are non organic – with the exception for the undyed colour Linen, of course. This yarn is the fine alternative for people with wool allergies. Recommended Gauge Hør Organic: 3 mm needles = 26 sts / 34 rowsHør Organic + Alpaca 1: 3 mm needles = 20 sts / 24 rowsHør Organic + Alpaca 2: 3,5 mm needles = 18 sts / 22 rowsHør Organic held double: 3,5 mm needles = 19 sts / 20 rows Material 100% linenMeterage 356 in 100 g Spun from organic fibersSpun and dyed in Italy

Navia Tradition Introducing Navia Tradition wool yarn, straight from the Faroe Islands and packed with authentic charm. Crafted from 100% Faroese wool, this yarn is a nod to the old-school styles that have been a staple for generations, especially for knitting the iconic 'skipstroyggjur' or boatman’s jerseys. A wonderfully rustic yarn that’s perfect for those hearty, rugged jumpers and jackets that stand up to anything. This is the real deal—the traditional yarn of the Faroe Islands, carrying with it the spirit of the sea and the resilience of those who brave it. Eco Soft ISAGER ECO SOFT consists of 56% Alpaca and 44% Organic Pima Cotton. The meterage is 125 m in 50 g and individually it is knitted on needle size 5.5 – 6 mm. Eco Soft can replace the yarn in patterns for sweaters, knitted with Silk Mohair held together with another yarn. The yarn is undyed and in natural colours.Eco Baby is the softest yarn in our range, and thus very suitable for baby clothes and small sizes. • Palet Autumn

    Isager Isager Palet

8 in stock Shipped within 1 business day

Palet ISAGER PALET s a thicker ‘summer yarn‘ than Bomulin, and it adds an interesting structure when worked together with other yarns. The colours in Palet are a mixture of many colours, but the finished result will not be ‘striped‘, as the colours are added as small dots onto the yarn. The yarn is beautiful used on its own, especially in simple models, but it is also really exciting when worked together with other yarns. The colours work best if used in stripes together with e.g. Bomulin and this shows in the model Palet. A Knitting Life - Out into the World Do experiences in life transform us as human beings? Places where we live; conversations with people we meet; traveling to other countries; attending special events. What transforms and informs a craftsperson? A Knitting Life – Out into the World is the second book of three in which Marianne Isager reveals her knitting life through five decades. It wasn’t until the 1990s that Marianne Isager truly began exploring the world. In this book we follow Marianne on her travels to Latin America, Africa, Greenland, and Nepal. On these travels the gates open wide for an abundance of inspiration. Not just the patterns of textile, baskets and pottery, but also architecture, landscapes and all of those wonders that will fill your mind and soul when you first visit a new place and experience the traditions, the food, the people, and the history of the country creeping into the core of your body. As in the first book a number of her previous and most significant designs are presented, many of which reflected the fashion of the day. This book also contains 16 new designs with knitting instructions based on the inspiration from her travels, all of them combining craftmanship and yarn of high quality. During these years filled with traveling, Marianne’s home village, Tversted in the northern part of Denmark, remains the anchor in her life. Tversted is also the home for the yarn company Isager which is owned and operated by Marianne Isager and her daughter, Helga Isager. • CaMaRose Tynd Lama

    CaMaRose CaMaRose Tynd Lama

    Shipped within 1 business day

Tynd Lamauld Are you a yarn enthusiast, someone who can appreciate the artistry of knitting, and the tactile pleasure of working with exceptional fibers? If so, let us introduce you to TYND LAMAULD, a yarn that promises to take your knitting experience to the next level. TYND LAMAULD is not just any yarn; it's a work of art in itself. Crafted with meticulous care, this yarn is spun with a single thread, revealing its true beauty and softness when knitted and washed. To fully grasp the marvel of TYND LAMAULD, we recommend knitting and washing a swatch – this is where the magic unfolds. What sets TYND LAMAULD apart is its unique blend of 50% llama wool and 50% Peruvian Highland wool. The result is a yarn that's both soft and rustic, with fibers that have natural variations in length. These varying fiber lengths might seem like a challenge, but they're actually a hidden treasure. When you knit with TYND LAMAULD, you'll find surplus fibers in your work, which add to its texture and character. Once you've created your masterpiece and given it that first wash, you'll discover another delightful surprise. Many of those surplus fibers wash out, leaving your creation even softer and cozier than you imagined. It's a yarn that truly gets better with time. But, as with any love story, there's a twist. TYND LAMAULD, due to its thickness and single-threaded spinning, has a tendency to twist when worked in the round in stockinette stitch with a single strand. It's a characteristic that might require a bit of extra attention, but the end result is well worth the effort. Now, let's talk specifications. Each 50-gram skein of TYND LAMAULD boasts an impressive 220 meters of yarn. To bring your vision to life, we recommend a gauge of 28 stitches by 40 rows, using needles sized between 2.5 and 3 mm. The possibilities are endless, and the results are bound to be magnificent. But there's more to TYND LAMAULD than meets the eye. This exceptional yarn is closely related to its sibling, LAMAULD. In fact, two strands of TYND LAMAULD can be used as an alternative to, or alongside, LAMAULD, giving you even more creative freedom. Now, let's dive into the heart of TYND LAMAULD – the llama wool. These fibers are an exclusive, natural marvel. They're lanolin-free, lightweight, and incredibly robust. Their unique hollow construction lends them superb insulation capabilities. In fact, llama wool is significantly warmer than your average sheep's wool, making it perfect for classic Nordic knitwear, shawls, scarves, baby blankets, and any garment that demands both strength and warmth without added bulk. Gauge Recommended gauge: 26 - 28 sts x 40 rows.Recommended needles: 2.5 – 3.5 mm. Material Materials: 50% llama and 50% wool.Weight / length: 50 grams = approx. 220 meters.Wool wash, max 30°C / Lay flat to dry. Spun in Peru.

  • Isager Spinni

    Isager Isager Spinni

    Shipped within 1 business day

SPINNI is a single ply natural wool. In the olden days in Iceland this yarn was hand spun and preferably so fine that a finished shawl could be pulled through a finger ring.Spinni is not quite as fine and we use the yarn in many different ways. When used on its own it is very suitable for lace shawls and one of its qualities is that it keeps its shape, so a scarf or shawl will not ‘collapse’.As Spinni is a single yarn spun in a single direction, it is not really suitable for knitting stocking stitch in the round. The knitted fabric will have a tendency to skew. If working in the round in a textured pattern this will not normally be a problem. In a multicoloured work Spinni will often be used as one of the yarns and with its beautiful and characteristic structure it is a lovely element in the knitted fabric. Gauge Spinni: 3 mm needles = 26 sts/ 30 rowsSpinni + Alpaca 1: 3 mm needles = 24 sts/ 28 rowsSpinni + Alpaca 2: 3,5 mm needles = 20 sts/ 26 rowsSpinni + Silk Mohair: 4 mm needles= 18 sts/ 24 rows Material 100% wool (single ply)Meterage 600 m in 100 g | 300 m in 50gThe yarn is spun and dyed in Denmark
