  • Isager Highland

    Isager Isager Highland

    Shipped within 1 business day

ISAGER HIGHLAND is spun from Peruvian sheep wool. The yarn is characterized by its lovely colors which are a mixture of different shades dyed into the wool before it is spun. The Highland yarn is not spun as tightly as Tvinni and therefore it is a softer yarn, which can still replace Tvinni and Alpaca 2. In softness and durability this yarn lies between these two yarns. The yarn is well suited for structured patterns and it does not twist when worked in the round. Highland works really well on its own, but can also be knitted together with our other yarns. • Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair

Knitting for Olive Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair

    Shipped within 1 business day

Soft Silk Mohair Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair is a luxurious blend of the finest Kid Mohair and Mulberry silk. Our Mohair comes from angora goats bred in South Africa, and the yarn is also produced locally. Our yarns are traceable back to the individual farms, which means we know exactly which farms, farmers, and goats our wool comes from. Our Mohair is certified sustainable and RMS (Responsible Mohair Standard). The yarn is produced with high respect for animal wellbeing, and with social responsibility. Our spinning mill follows ethical, technical and environmental standards, creating yarns free from harmful chemicals. The Silk in our Soft Silk Mohair is cruelty free. The silk fibres are collected from cocoons after the chrysalises are allowed to mature into moths and escape. This means that the silk worms are not killed in the process as they are in conventional silk production. The yarn is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified. We advise that Mohair is not particularly suitable for children 1 year old and under, since the lightweight Mohair fibers, while perfectly safe, can cause mild irritation if babies get them in their mouths. Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair can be used together with a strand from a companion yarn.

    Isager Isager Alpaca 2

    Shipped within 1 business day

Isager Alpaca 2 ISAGER ALPACA 2 is a two ply yarn which consists of 50% wool and 50% alpaca. This yarn’s main feature is its softness which makes it very suited for baby garments and any item where soft feel is preferred. Used individually this yarn is also beautiful for an adult cardigan, but one should take into consideration that due to its softness this yarn is best suited for models not exposed to too much wear and tear. A soft yarn will never be as hard wearing as a yarn spun from a firmer wool which may also have been spun tighter. On the other hand, this yarn is very well suited for scarves and knitted together with our other yarns.  Recommended Gauge Alpaca 2: 3 mm needles = 26 sts / 30 rowsAlpaca 2 + Alpaca 1: 3 mm needles = 24 sts / 28 rowsAlpaca 2 + Alpaca 2: 3,5 mm needles = 20 sts / 26 rowsAlpaca 2 + Silk Mohair: 4 mm needles = 18 sts / 24 rows Material 50% alpaca and 50% woolMeterage: 250 m in 50 g Two ply yarnSpun and dyed in Peru
